What my model was going to wear THE DRESS To get more diversity in my photo shoot, I selected several dresses for my model to wear. The final two dresses that I narrowed my search down to were:
The black cocktail dress - this dress is formal and high end well as being fun. I believe the cocktail dress is appropriate for my model to wear because of the versatility of the dress. The dress is represented and thought of in fashion as the modern go-to dress for all occasions. Therefore I believe that it would suit my magazine well. The pink dress - this dress is fun and flirtatious. It represents the fun and party side of my magazine well. Also, as my magazine issue is in June, the summeriness of the dress suits this issue well. It will encourage the audience to buy this issue, if they are not already subscribers. MAKEUP USED For my magazine I used mainly nude tones and shades. This is in order to make my model's makeup look natural. |
Lighting is an important part of photography and is vital in creating a successful image. Lighting determines not only brightness and darkness, but also tone, mood and the atmosphere.
Therefore it is necessary to control and manipulate light correctly in order to get the best texture and vibrancy of colour of your subjects. 3 point lighting setup I went for the classic 3 point lighting setup while shooting my photos.

As well as this, it makes my photo shoot and photos look and feel more professional and classy, which is something I am aiming towards. |
COLOUR SCHEME I believe the colour scheme is important because it creates a style of the magazine. Colour schemes are used to create style and appeal. Also using colours that fit and work together help give my magazine a more complete and professional feel. Colours that I plan on using -

I added the tag lines, and fitted them around the model. Here I also added the masthead and placed it in front of the model.
